Nankang Tower. Ehrlich Architects.

After already 10 days in Taipei, rain every day, during the worst season possible, and clock ticking down fast. For some insane reason I pulled a 180 in our schedule and headed south to the city of Taichung, hoping for sunshine on my second building. After finding success in Taichung, I made a mad dash back to the train station, hoping the sun would follow us back to Taipei, and over Nankang Towers designed by Ehrlich Architects. Tired, cold, and hungry, we were super charged by this new break in the weather and excited about our next shoot! “That’s one building down, one building to go!” I said. Were we going to make it back 2/2? I can’t believe it! After all the storms, all the traveling challenges, the illnesses and fractured bones, all the near misses and tragically persistent tropical weather, with the announcement of my first child due and me thousands of miles away, will it all be worth it? Will there be sunshine tomorrow?

Ahh! Pinch me, pinch me! I can’t believe it. SUNSHINE!
