Fashion industry folk demand the best — the best materials for their clothes, the best quality for their accessories, and the best design for their living and working spaces.
The Corgan-designed offices for Neiman Marcus Creative Group in Dallas, Texas are a 30,000 sq ft renovation for the famed brand. Neiman Marcus’ previous offices were an outdated labyrinth of private offices, but the new space is a collaborative hive, weaving together four different departments in an open, airy space.
It was important to our client that we handle this project carefully, so as not to disrupt the work of their important client! With new catalogs constantly in production, the staff here is very busy. We were able to coordinate with Corgan and Neiman Marcus to stage and photograph the active office, even pulling office occupants into our shots as models. I love working with real people to help illustrate the scale and life of a building!
While it’s nice to be able to photograph a space with bright sunny skies and lush green trees out every window, it’s sometimes necessary to time a photoshoot during colder months. You have to catch the right window of time in when the space is finished enough to photograph, but before it starts to look too “lived-in”. Despite the fact that it was snowing outside, I was able to pick the right angles and staging to avoid having every shot feel like wintertime!
