When I think of a library I remember Curious George, the man in the yellow hat, and family visits to our local library for story time as a child. The building itself however I remember to be pretty dark, stale in appearance, and for the life of me I can’t remember a single window. Such is not the case at the new Redondo Library by Rossetti Architects. Consciously designed around the visitor’s experience, this place is anything but dreary. Actually, it’s fun. Bright, colorful, dynamic, and it was very easy for me to show people enjoying the space. Check out that little guy in the children’s reading room! I wonder how he’ll look back and remember the space?
